While the story is certainly different than what we typically see in the Attack on Titan universe, Lost Girls offers a unique experience to peer into the mind of the complex character Annie Leonhart. This story acts as a compliment to enhance what we know about the existing story as well as adding a bit of depth and explanation to a character we weren't allowed to see much of. While this story isn't written by Isayama himself, it doesn't retract or contradict from the original and the art itself keeps very true to its source. Annie is one of the best characters in the series, and Lost Girls leaves you wanting even more.
